UPS/FedEx Tracking Linkify
(v0.11) Looks for items in the page that look like tracking numbers but aren't hyperlinked, and converts them to links to the correct tracking site.

The tracking app was migrated from being a cgi app to being written in java. Because of this, the cgi-bin portion of the url has been removed. Sorry for the inconvenience. Also, please note that the context name is also not lower case any more (should be www.fedex.com/Tracking). Breakdown: http://www.fedex.com/Tracking?
ALSO NOTE: Although you can give the action, language, cntry and initial (don't know what this is for), you can get by with just (default locale is US_en and default action is track):

Looks like it's FedEx's fault. I've looked into the URL they use to track the numbers this way, and even on their site it doesn't work correctly. Their own system still uses this so called out of date function. Not sure what they'll replace it with, but if and when I figure it out, I'll alter the script myself and repost it. The creator says he's moved on to bigger and better things...so I don't think this one's ever going to be updated. |

I just installed this script, and upon using it I got this:
FedEx will retire this version of Tracking in the near future. If you have bookmarked this URL, please visit http://www.fedex.com to use the enhanced Tracking application. If you have received this URL via a shipment notification, please contact your shipper to let them know of this change. To view your tracking results, please click the "Track" button. Thank you for choosing FedEx." I'd really love to see an update of this script, as it would be EXTREMELY useful for me! thanks! |
