Download YouTube Video III
Adds "Download" link and icon. Remember to rename to ".flv".

- Note to Linux users: In my Ubuntu when you click download the video loads on a new tab. If you have the same problem just right click in download and choose "save as".

YouTubeRobot.com today announces YouTube Robot 2.0, a tool that enables you to download video from YouTube.com onto your PC, convert it to various formats to watch it when you are on the road on mobile devices like mobile phone, iPod, iPhone, Pocket PC, PSP, or Zune. YouTube Robot allows you to search for videos using keywords or browse video by category, author, channel, language, tags, etc. When you find something noteworthy, you can preview the video right in YouTube Robot and then download it onto the hard disk drive. The speed, at which you will be downloading, is very high: up to 5 times faster than other software when you download a single file and up to 4 times faster when you download multiple files at a time. Manual download is not the only option with YouTube Robot. You may as well schedule the download and conversion tasks to be executed automatically, even when you are not around. Downloading is followed by conversion to the format of your choice and uploading videos to a mobile device (if needed). For example, you can plug in iPod, select the video, go to bed, and when you wake up next morning, your iPod will be ready to play new YouTube videos. Product page: http://www.youtuberobot.com

Thanks lazyttrick, this script is very useful. |
Ok, now it's compatible with PreventAutoplay script =) |
I just installed the Prevent Autoplay and couldn't reproduce the error, so I uploaded again my script just in case. Try updating both scripts, if still fails I can still try a little thing, but I'm not sure it will help. |
Thanks for the update lazyttrick. It works for me. But when I have the Youtube Prevent Autoplay script enabled, the Download link doesn't show up. I think the other script is interfering? I didn't know whether to post the problem under your script page or the Prevent Autoplay script page, so I posted it here first. |
Should be working now, I was lazy to do it, but since 2 ppl asked I did it =) |
Could you update the script please? YouTube has something new under their player and Download Video doesn't show up anymore. Thanks! |
This should be fixed. It doesn't work anymore. :(
thanks... very nice.. ;) |
This script doesn't work anymore, the website YouTubeLoader To download youtube videos , I think its because Youtube recently changed its design |
hi, I think when that script changes to the old player it removes a variable necessary to the download... I'll see if there's a workaround, thanks :-) |

Ah, I didn't see it at first, but it does work. You may want to modify your description to mention that the download link is a small disk button (![]() ) and a blue hyperlinked text that reads "Download" below it (depending on what your screen resolution is - mine is 1400x1050). I downloaded the video using FDM via FlashGot and it went very smoothly and was successful. I also have a variety of other GM scripts installed, including other YT ones, as well as at least a dozen FF extensions (including Adblock & NoScript). This also worked for me on the beta YT page. I've taken a screen shot and used arrows to indicate the button (red) and text link (black) in the graphic below so everyone will know where to look for them.

thanks man.. i can use it. really a great effort from you brother. TQ very much. |
It may be conflicting with some other script.... You can disable all other scripts temporally: tools->greasemonkey->manage scripts...

At last something that is working! It's third script that I'm trying. Great work! |
Thank you! Works great! I was going through withdrawal for a couple of days. |
Thanks, version III is working, after II stopped a couple of days ago. Still doesn't work with the YT beta page, but that's not a big problem to me yet.
It doesn't seem to work now for some reason. Don't see the link under "Save to favorites". I just see "Add to Groups". |
too good. i'm going to forget this is not an inherently youtube function! I wish the "Get Video" downloaded file name could be upgraded. thanks,
