A couple of minor fixes:

* Don't strip the domain off the URL (thanks pineapple and cortex)
* Play nicely with mark contact contributions

If you are having a problem such as the one Jack Mottram describes, try going into your Metafilter profile and turning off the "Open links in new windows" checkbox.

Nice script, really useful. I think it would be even more useful if it could work across all of Metafilter, so for example when a discussion in Metatalk references Ask Meta, the reference is shown in a floating box. Would this be possible?

Turns out this is an odd bug, possibly to do with my set up...

It works wonderfully for me on Ask MetaFilter and MetaTalk, but on MetaFilter itself, clicking 'quote' does nothing but open a new tab in Firefox. Which is a bit of a shame.
