    Known Bugs + Fixes

  • If you have already picked your URL, then the red url box doesn't display. So if you don't disable the "home_pickURL" line, the script cannot find it, and it will end prematurely. So if you've already picked the URL, just comment out the "home_pickURL" line. And that should fix it.
  • Major - The status boxes update button doesn't work if you move the box, I've tried everything to fix this, now I'm asking all of you to help me. If you fix it, of course you will get full credit in both the scripts source and the description. Thanks.

    Updates

    March 2007

  • Myspace decided to add the "Search Your Address Book" box back, I've gotten rid of it again.

    April 2007

  • Added the ID for the red PICK YOUR URL box.
  • Moved an area of comments to make it easier to understand where to edit.

    July 2007

  • Cleaned up the script, updated it with a few new boxes added by myspace. Like the Status box. The script is now also in order. Meaning if you want to remove something you don't really have to read the descriptions anymore, just figure out what it's after and what it's before on the page. Starting from the top and moving down the left hand side, then the right hand side.
  • Removed the red Search Your Address Book box. AGAIN!
  • The status box has been moved underneath the Top Friends box. To move it back to the original place, just comment out the 2 lines of code under "Moves the Status box under Top friends" at the very end of the script.
  • Includes the Small Info Box Script provided by Jordon Kalilich, with full permissions
  • Removes whitespace at the bottom of the screen.
  • fixed the Submit button on the Status box, thanks to InsaneNinja

    August 2007

  • Fixed bugs.

    September 2007

  • Fixed bugs.

    December 2007

  • Fixed.

I was aware that the script was broken, I've fixed it the best I can and uploaded that version, there is still one box at the very bottom that I cannot get rid of, I think this script is dieing out, but thanks to everyone for all the support and the large amount of installs. Please check out some of my other scripts.

    Thanks.

I don't know if it's just me but a lot of this script doesn't work anymore. I think maybe MySpace changed some things around and it threw off the script.

I haven't touched it and out of nowhere it looks like the default page again except that it removes the Header only. I had it stripped down to the basics but now EVERYTHING's back for some reason. Help?

Just to make you aware, something has changed. The script still removes everything, but the info box isn't small, and the Status Change box isn't under the Top Friends.

Never mind, I figured it out. I looked at the source of your entire page, and it was H3.

How does the H2 work? Sorry, I'm confused. =P

    Fixed :)

And to get the bars in the script description just use the "H2" tag.

When someone adds you to their "favorites" on myspace there is a section that shows when you last updated your myspace page. Is there a way to remove this section? Any help is appreciated.

ok ill keep checking back to see when you update it, does your script support the User Script Update script?

Yep, MySpace changed something again. I'm thinking it was most likely the MySpace links that's screwing everything up. I hope this script works again soon...

    No problem. =]

But I was wondering how you get the bars into your description. The "Description", "Known Bugs", and "Updates" bars. Could you tell me? Thanks!

No credit is needed, since I didn't come up with the concept of removing stuff. But thanks for stopping by and letting me know, it means alot. Thanks :)

I made a new script and the influence came from yours. It is basically a script to remove the header and footer from everywhere around MySpace. Would you like me to credit you in my script? I linked to your script in my description.

I think I found a way to notify myself of these. If I "favorite" all of the scripts I have, then set up an RSS feed on My Yahoo!, it says things next to the scripts like: 1 day ago, or 2 months ago. I am assuming that is when the actual script was last updated, correct?

Yeah Joe, you do, I was going to incorporate the Auto-Update into this, but I think it adds to many lines of code and slows the script down.

I think I'm done updating for a while so if you install it now, you should be good for a while.

I have a question: Every time you update something with this script, do I have to re-install it?

i put in a new location-option for the statusbox into my auto-update script

BUT.. your using the wrong id for it.. the div is INSIDE the form.. you have to move the form

    document.getElementById('home_friends').parentNode.insertBefore(document.getElementById('aspnetForm'), document.getElementById('home_friends').nextSibling);

You could comment on this script if you were logged in.
