YouTube stop video download

Youtube allow you to pause the video, but it keeps downloading. This script adds a stop/play button next to video's title.

Thanks!, this is just what I was looking for to conserve my limited bandwidth. One request though, can you make it so that when I press your play button, playback continues from where it was stopped, preferably without losing the portion of the video that had already been downloaded?

This script only seems to work for www.youtube and not at other "countries"

lazyttrick, I think I may have a solution for what Miccovin is after. I've posted my code in the forums here: http://userscripts.org/forums/1/topics/1220

Hi lazyttrick,

thanks, but i think you don´t understand. With your script the video is pausing, But then it´s not loading!! So do you have any idea to uncouple the pausing from the loading? This is the quintessence.

I would love this function, too. Lazyttrick, do you have any idea to realize this?

Interesting feature when you hit "Stop" on a beta player page, it reverts the video back to the old format (for me at least).

Issit possible for an auto-pause feature...E.g. I would like to open a video on a tab. But bandwith is a bit slow....so when the video is completely loaded i would like to come back to it.

Thanks for any help
