Google Maps Add Waypoint
Add waypoints to existing maps

(On the attribution, the page at http://mkgray.com:8000/blog/Technology/Javascri... seems to say Matthew Gray wrote it.) This doesn't work for me either, and I don't even see an "Add Waypoint" box. It sucks that all these things are so brittle. And I'm not blaming you, Matt, I guess in some way I'm blaming Google. I SO want "map multiple points" functionality! I was using http://www.mygmaps.com/ for a while and then one day - BOOM - it didn't work any more, probably because Google changed something again. It's totally their perogative to do that of course, for providing a useful free service, but since you see sites like Cheap Gas and Chicago Crime it's just SO FRUSTRATING not being able to do it onesself :( |

I'm getting errors about document.getElementsByClassName(), which is most likely because that isn't a built-in function. |

Possibly helpful console error messages:

Line: 49
followed by ... Error: document.getElementsByClassName is not a function Source File: http://maps.google.com/maps?output=js Line: 41 |

OK - after uninstalling an earlier script this script now adds "MapsAdd waypoint:" to the directions header but it still doesn't appear to do anything? |

Earlier version showed changes in the UI but didn't work. I just uninstalled that version and loaded from here. I don't see any change in the UI or way to add waypoints. Note: new Hybrid=Map+Satellite view in Google Directions is really neat :-) |
