userscripts.org - View Script Source

Add "View script source" button before the "Install this script" button

USO now adds a "View script source" link by default. This script is now obsolete.

I prefer your code to mine - I actually uninstalled mine and just modified yours to have the source button last. :)

Viewing source should really be in Userscripts.org without having to GM it. I committed code for that today. Hopefully it'll go live some day soon. I changed the markup a bit (e.g. no .button) with the side effect that this script and mine should not mess things up (won't do anything at all) when that happens.

At that time, I think I'll modify mine back to add links after all.user.js links, but @exclude this site.

The committed site view source is just plain text/javascript for now, but one could all syntax highlighting and an install button and stuff.

I forgot that you had written that script before.
I changed href attribute to "?source" like in your script to prevent increasing the install count. Thanks.

Modified the Userscripts.org code (not live yet) to not increase the install count when stripping the extension, either.

There is also http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/5913.

Cool, I wasn't aware you could just strip the extension.
