Use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Alt+Z or Ctrl+Alt+F (for backward compatibility) to toggle between article-mode and normal mode.
Using the keyboard shortcut makes the sidebar, header and footer disappear and pressing it again brings it back. Helps when all you need to do is to concentrate on the article and not have any other distraction - helps more if you are viewing in Full screen.
