Script Summary: Collapses gmail labels to a small box which expands when hovered over
The impetus for this script was multiple mailboxes, which is a Labs feature that I absolutely love. The problem is that when you have your additional boxes on the right, GMail doesn't provide much room for them. This is especially a problem when you have labels (or worse yet, long labels). All the same, I do like to know what labels are currently on my messages. This script gives the best of both worlds.
It is an astoundingly simple script that loads precisely two styles. One to condense the labels, and one for the hover state. Could be added to your user stylesheet pretty easily. But you know what? I prefer something that I can easily install.
Oh, and it works with Google Chrome. Nice.
