Yahoo Fantasy Football Free Stats
Live and free yahoo fantasy football scoring!
2008:
The Load Stats button now replaces the Load StatTracker button in a manner similar to the newest baseball one.
2.7.0 - Updated Stat Tracker button modification to work in 2008.2.6.9 - really works correctly with other team pages now.
2.6.8 - fixed to work with all team pages, better css for overlay background.
2.6.6 - Now sorts bench players below starters. Also removed the scroll because it was impossible to view certain players if your team was too large.
Much credit to Dave for originally creating the baseball and basketball scripts. This NFL script only exists because of his work. Since Dave has stated he will not be producing an NFL script I have taken the liberty of modifying his script.
Note: this will only show Defensive stats for individual players, not team defenses. Had to do things a little differently than Dave did since an NFL player can have stats in multiple categories. So your players may show up in multiple categories if their stats dictate it.

Is this going to be updated for the new season? |

Nice script, thanks. I have no idea if this would be an easy modification/new script, but in my league we like to look at "manager skill" which we define as points scored of the players you started divided by optimal line up. Anyway to have the script pull these numbers by week??? Thx! |

I have installed this script but it does not work! I would really appreciate the person who made this script if they were to fix it. I love yahoo stat tracker but do not want to dish out 9.95 for it in a free league |

Installed this yesterday, but it does not appear to be working. No "Load Freebie Stats" button is appearing. Note, IIRC, the "Load StatTracker button" disappeared sometime Sunday. Before that the "Stattracker" service was free. FWIW, I have loaded 'butler' and it works fine ... |

requesting again, live scoring for the sal cap game...pretty please? :D |

Thanks for the update, will let you know if it's working or not... |

I'm also wondering if there will be an update for this season? |

I have a really stupid question - where do you input these scripts? And is there a way to add HTML anywhere in the Yahoo fantasy posts or maybe other places? Also, do you need an actual server and webspace to at least get free live web-based stats for myself (or possibly also have it broacasted to my managers)? Thanks a lot. |

the script actually grabs the entire stat row which encompasses the individual TDs (which contain the stat data). I don't know if this will do salary cap but you might want to check it out:

hrmm...wouldn't it be the same as your current script? Doesn't your current script get the stats live and display them. Couldn't you add a math equation to multiply the stat that it downloads by whatever the attribute is? |
|
|
It'd be possible to do Loogie but more difficult since you'd be dealing with individual table data values. I don't pay much attention to my salary cap team so I probably won't be making it. It would also be nice to calculate fantasy stats with this script but again it'd be a lot more work. |

eres my idea: I play fantasy football like crazy on yahoo, and I've found some greasemonkey scripts that are adding some nice functionality, but my main beef with yahoo is there is no live scoring for the salary cap game. You have to wait until 2 or 3 in the morning before they update the scores. They dont even update the performance of the player until that same time, so you can't even get a quick idea of how you're doing, or the other how the people in the league are doing. I was wondering if you could write a script that could actually cross check the players ID with yahoos live stats and formulate a score based on the performance of that player and then just display it next to their name. that would be awesome. the scoring is pretty easy math. for instance, a player usually gets 1 pt for every 10 yards, so if a player currently has 34 yards, they would have 3 pts for that. (actually, i think it's 3.4 pts) and they always get 6 pts for a touchdown. so if the script was to check the stat webpage using the id of the player in the salary cap game, and see that its a running back with 100 yards and 2 tds, it would calculate that to 22 pts and put it in a little highlighted column. Naamean? |

not bad. It's real buggy for me, and I had to disable my other yahoo fantasy scripts, but good job none the less.
