Updated Search page

including the new Preview column
and this new section:

Where:
Remove Read
When clicked, any posts or previews showing up as visited (using your browser's visited colour) will be removed from the list

# tabs

This defaults to 10, but can be set to any number

Note: If this button is disabled, the settings you are using have already been saved

How I use this script
On a weekly basis, I check through the Easynews Search page for any new videos which catch my eye.
I used to browse various groups, then ctrl-click approx. 20 [thumbs] links and view each thumbnail to see if the clip is worth downloading, or is what it says it is.
I'd then go back to the search page and open the next 20 thumbs for previewing.
This was rather time consuming, so I wrote this script to automate most of this.
Firstly I moved the [thumb] out to another column to make it easier to find and ctrl-click quickly
The other 2 additions of removing the clips I'd already viewed and automatically opening the previews in new tabs, were logical extensions to the way I was browsing.
Anyway, not everyone may want to use all of the above as I wrote this for my own way of browsing newsgroups, but I thought I'd upload it anyway to see if anyone else would benefit from all or part of this.
One additional hint. If you use the Remove Read functionality, remember to set your browsing history large enough to preserve your list of visited links.
Update Aug 23: After recent updates at Easynews, tried to make the script a little more dynamic, so there's less hard-coding.
Still aim to do more, probably next time Easynews change the format of the search page again.
Update 1st May 2011: This is NOT compatible with FireFox 4.0.
Due to certain updates it is now no longer possible for a script to detect if a link has been visited.
This breaks the Remove Read feature, so as a consequence, this will remove all results from the list.
- Separate Preview column Configurable to split out
- Remove Read - new button When clicked, this will remove any posts or previews you've already viewed, so you are left with only a list of posts / previews you haven't visited.
- Open multiple previews in separate tabs - new button When clicked this will open a number of previews in separate tabs
[thumb], but can be used to split out other types such as [nfo], [parViewer] from the main subject line
