The Reiconizer lets you change the user icons (avatars) you see on vBulletin message boards. By default it just gives everyone who doesn't have an avatar (user icon) one from Wikipedia. But it can do much, much more. It adds options to each user's dropdown menu. Left click a username and select a menu entry to:
If you edit the source code, you can also:
- Replace any user's avatar with a different one (or none!)
- Give people more appropriate avatars. For instance, I searched Google for a red squirrel, of icon size, and gave that to a user named RedSquirrel.
- Only you can see these avatars, so you can use NSFW ones. Or animated ones. Or larger ones. The default size limit is 130x100px, but you can change that.
- Try out a new avatar on yourself before inflicting it on the rest of us! :P (But note that after a quick-reply it won't appear until you refresh the page.)
- Change any user's nickname:
- Completely replace a username. E.g. if you don't like me you could make me 'Ken - gee - s****'
- Add to a username. E.g. if you do like me you could make me 'Ken_g6 - da man'.
If you edit the source code, you can also:
- Replace any board avatar with a different one (or none!)
- Replace whole sets of board avatars with different ones.
- V2.0, 2009-02-15: GUI options, either in user menus or the Greasemonkey User Script Commands menu, for most operations.
- V2.1, 2010-07-08: Full Chrome compatibility, including all options in site menus.
- V2.1, 2010-07-31: Bugfix for sites without some site menus.
- Usernames are not changed on thread lists, searches, etc. Only where post content is shown.
