Script Summary: Offers a thumbnail of a flickr image for easy access to URL, contextual menu, drag-and-drop functions, etc.
In October 2009, flickr introduced a method for tagging people present in photos. To simplify the process of tagging people, they added a wrapper around the main photo in each photo page. This wrapper makes it slightly harder to get the image's URL, but more importantly it also disables the contextual menu on the image (breaking, for example, TinEye's plugin) and making it impossible to drag the image to another application.
This script adds a copy of the image in thumbnail size, plus the text "Image URL", atop the right-side column of the flickr photo page (immediately visible to the right of the main image). The thumbnail and text link to the image's src. You can get the contextual menu from the thumbnail, or even drag-and-drop it to your desktop. This fully restores the previous functionality. Depending on your browser, you might also be able to save the image directly via the URL ("Save link as..." in FireFox).
This script essentially replaces a simpler previous version that added a textual link under the main image. If you had the previous script installed, you might want to disable it.
Use responsibly.
Known issue: panoramas can lead to strange results. Horizontal panoramas can produce nearly unusuable thumbnails, vertical ones can distort page layout a bit too much.
