Wikipedia Edit First Section

Edit the first section of a story in wikipedia

This is a script that I made with the intention of adding a link to edit the very first section of text in wikipedia. Enjoy.

Replaced by preferences, but that version conflicts with Editable Article Titles to remove the article title. So if you're using that script, keep this one.

Note: a recent upgrade to the site software now means that you can enable this feature in your user preferences, without installing a userscript.

I like the idea behind that script, alas, it only works with the English Wikipedia.

How about making that script international? Or at least working with the German one ;)

And if that script would work with the SecureConnectionScript (http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/7954) would be great, too.

Good idea, I'll work on it!

Works as advertised. As I'm editing some huge articles on a dial-up connection, this is pretty useful.

Possible improvement: autofill Edit summary with text like "/* intro section */"

You could comment on this script if you were logged in.
