Script Summary: A Fluid script that abbreviates the text of links in Basecamp, to prevent the page layout from being ruined by very long links.
If you paste a very long link into a Basecamp message or comment it may not be wrapped appropriately in the browser, forcing the width of the page to expand to accommodate the link text. This script will abbreviate the link text to the first 60 characters of long links, and append an ellipsis onto the end of the text. The full link text is set in the link's title attribute, allowing you to hover over the link to see the full destination URL.
