Push ctrl+; to create an event in google calendar. ctrl+; will either:

a) take preselected text and treat as "quick add" text and take you to the details page

or;

b) await text entry and treat as "quick add" text and take you to the details page

Should you require this for a google hosted account please follow the homepage link for further instructions.

I couldn't use the FF extension from torrez.us but I loved the idea, this is the closest I could get to it.
