Thumb Thumb

Geothumbs is a greasemonkey script that replaces the small picture icons on geocaching.com cache pages with thumbnails of the actual images. It works with both Firefox and Opera browsers.

Clicking an image thumbnail will pop-up the full sized image in the existing 'lightbox' feature. Clicking the sides of this full sized image will allow you to move between all the images currently shown on the cache page. Clicking the text description next to the image thumbnail will bypass the 'lightbox' and display the image directly. To provide some protection against seeing spoilers any image labelled as such will not be converted to a thumbnail.

For Firefox users a menu option is provided to configure geothumbs to your preferred operation. The menu is accessed by selecting Tools > Greasemonkey > User Script Commands. The geothumbs options here will allow you to:

* Show or not show cache owner images.
* Show or not show image descriptions alongside the thumbnails.
* Select the number of images in a row from between 2 and 4.
* Select either the normal thumbnail size or a larger image size.
* Show or not show spoiler images.

The default settings are to show cache owner images, show image descriptions, display 2 images per row, use thumbnail image size and not show spoilers.

Opera users will need to edit the parameters in the script if they wish to change the default settings.

Notes:
Due to the lack of small images on geocaching.com for cache owner posted images this script downloads the fullsize image and relies on the browser to resize it to the required thumbnail or large image size. You may want to turn this option off if you don't have a fast internet connection!
