MySpace Garbage Remover
Removes a bunch of useless boxes that just make checking your new messages/bulletins a slower process.
GUESS WHAT EVERYONE, THERE IS A NEW TRANSFORMERS MOVIE COMING OUT! And Tom is going to push your inbox link down to the bottom of the second fold, just to make sure you know about it! Also, something about photo albums.
Don't you hate how your inbox/comment notifications are halfway down your Home screen? And what is Helio? And who cares what the link to your Myspace blog is? This script attempts to remove all of those annoying boxes that just clutter up the home screen.
This is my first attempt at a script, let me know what you think!

Hm, additional work may need to be done so that it continues processing the rest of the script. |

P.S. (I just talked to you via IM) If you would, please note where the suggestion came from. :) (i.e. A line in the credits showing I contributed to it.) |

In response to your code comment, (why do we need the same thing again? how do i loop this function?), give this a try: while (haL != -1) {

Hello Neil, This is probably not the best way, but if you simply duplicate the Helio ad removal code, it will indeed work and remove it. :) You might also consider changing "http://home.myspace.com/index.cfm*" to "http://home.myspace.tld/index.cfm*" to better accommodate the localized MySpace sites that use a different, country-specific TLD. Great work thus far; this will definitely save me, and others I'm sure, time when checking new messages so we don't have to scroll. :) |
