Another one for the fantastic Zen Habits blog in response to the Minimalist Gmail post.
Let's get rid of a bunch of buttons we rarely use. Do you ever use that Labels button or the Move To button? Probably not. How about the More Actions or Refresh button? No? Ok, gone. And while we're at it, let's ditch the Select line. You know, the one that says "All, None, Read, Unread, Starred, Unstarred".
If you'd miss any of those, this isn't for you. But if you're a keyboard shortcut ninja, may as well zen up your UI, right?
One caveat... The buttons are still there for the other email views. Do a search, or select All Mail, or whatever, and these buttons will show up again. I kind of like it like that. You might not, but how often do you leave your inbox anyway?
Changelog:
0.3: Made the CSS selectors more specific to prevent the disappearing inbox problem that some folks were experiencing.
