DivX Stage6 download links 3.1
adds a download link to video pages on DivX's stage6 site so you can download the videos without having to install their crap.
This script will add a "Download" link to any video page on DivX's Stage6 site, allowing you to download the videos without having to have DivX or the plugin installed.
Hint: the .divx files are just .avi files that DivX Networks decided to rename for absolutely no reason whatsoever.
Version 3.0 (Aug 17, 2007):
Now works both with the plugin installed as well as without. If the plugin is not installed, the script also hides the "missing plugin" box, which was obscuring the sharing tabbar. The download link is then added to the sharing tabbar.
By the way, if you do have the plugin installed, there is a download link already there, which is right next to the play button when you first load the page. As soon as you start playing the video, the player obscures that download link.
Version 3.1 (Aug 17, 2007): (minor update) If the plugin is not installed, completely hide the entire player area, rather than have a large blank hole. This also brings the download link nearer to the top of the page.

Okay. I see why it isn't working for some people. I created this script specifically so I didn't have to install dvix's plugin. Turns out that having the plugin installed is what kills this script. I'll figure out a solution that works in both cases. It might be that my download link is being covered up by the plugin, or that the part of the page I put it in is being removed by javascript when the plugin is detected or something. |

This script didn't work for me, but this one did: |

I'm not sure what could be wrong. I know it works here on FF 2.0.0.4 w/ GM 0.7.20070607.0, as I freshly installed it here. I also know it works on the laptop I fixed it on, but don't remember versions offhand. http://img230.imageshack.us/img230/9338/stage6d... The script only provides links for videos when viewing them directly on the stage6 site, currently, not on videos embedded in other pages. |

There is nothing... The "old" way is better then the script :-(( |

I cant see the blue box, :-( |

they changed their page, which broke the old script. I have updated it to work with their current pages. A blue box with a download link will appear above the video player plugin box. |
|
