Script Summary: Show Rightmove properties on many mapping websites and links to useful tools (recommended by MoneySavingExpert).
1. Install the GreaseMonkey Firefox Add-On.
2. After restarting Firefox, click on the Install button above to install this script.
This will then add links to all Rightmove search results and property pages, as shown in the red circles below.
(Note: The buttons and links only appear on the page once it has fully loaded and all map locations have been loaded.)
NOTE: In January 2010 Rightmove changed their webpages to include some Google Maps functionality. This doesn't make the script redundant as it provides links to a variety of other mapping sites for inspecting each property from a number of different angles (bird's eye view, satellite etc.) It also provides a wealth of extra information about each property such as post code, council tax band, neighbourhood statistics, past house prices, schools/amenities nearby, flooding risk etc.

The markers are displayed on the map using the "Get Directions" feature, enabling them all to be displayed using a single URL. Each property is identified by a letter ([A], [B] etc.), displayed to the right of each location descriptor in the results.
For an individual property page, the postcode is looked up from the latitude and longitude via a call to www.upmystreet.com. In some cases this may take a bit of time. The postcode is then added to the property description at the top of the page (e.g. "Old Newbridge Hill, BATH, BA1 1AB"). Some testing has shown these postcodes to be generally very accurate but of course there may be exceptions.
Once the postcode has been found, further "Useful Links" relating to it are added to the pane on the right of the screen. More information about the information provided by these websites is in the Free House Price Valuations MoneySavingExpert article.
