Thumb Thumb

This script looks at the current trending topics on search.twitter.com and then hides the tweets that contain multiple ones (you can configure how many to allow). It tucks the "spam" tweets away and at the bottom of the page (or off the page all together if you desire).

I borrowed heavily from the script twitterRemoveTweetsWithKeywords, found here: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/52543

And the idea came after reading a Mashable post about TidyTweet that has this feature:

Customizing
After you've installed Greasemonkey and this script, go to Tools > Greasemonkey > Manage User Scripts. Then click on HideMultipleTrendingTopicTweets and then edit, and the script will open in your text editor. The Customize section underneath the metadata will allow you to change the number of allowed trending topics per tweet and if you want to hide the spam altogether or show icons for it at the bottom of the page.

Enjoy!
