Tweetpreview

Shows a preview of your next tweet on top of your timeline while you type. Hotlinks @-profiles, links and hashtags directly in the preview. Links will open in a new tab so you can click them to check if they work before you post.

Some Notes:

    Links in preview: Twitter uses the bit.ly url-shortener for links that are longer than 41 characters. Tweetpreview will show you a dummy-link http://bit.ly/PrEV4 (linked to the url you entered) which is most probably not what you will get, but the length should match as long as bit.ly doesn't (have to) use more characters.
  • Hashtags and Profiles: Twitter has it's own logic to hotlink profiles and hashtags. I tried to achieve the closest match with Tweetpreview testing various combinations. If you find any mismatch, please report it to me and I will try to fix it. If you provide a fix, even better.
