Thumb Thumb

This script will automatically skip any "sponsored links" that appear in your Gmail Web Clip bar along the top of your message list. Unlike Joe's script, this script doesn't delete the whole bar, it just skips the offending messages.

The script will also optionally disable help "tips" in the clip bar, and optionally hide the sidebar that includes adverts (and a couple of action links) when viewing an email thread - this option has the added benefit of increased email viewing area when enabled. Both of these optional values are enabled by default - modify the first two variables if you wish to disable them.
