Tweetfilter
Tweetfilter is a decently featured filter-plugin for Twitter's web-interface. You can filter tweets by matching a user or a keyword. The filter can also be inverted.
Usage:
- to add a user to the filter add @@username (double @) to the filter list. It will appear bold, bold entries in the list filter tweets that come from users matching the entry.
- to filter tweets containing a certain string also as part of another word simply add it to the filter-list. This also works for filtering replies to a user by adding @username (single @).
- to filter tweets containing a certain word add "word" to the filter (with the double quotes). This will match "i say word" but not "i say keyword", it matches only entire words.
- Activating the option invert filter only the tweets matching the filter will be shown. This is handy when you search certain tweets in your timeline or want to take a look at what you might have missed during the day regarding a specific topic or user.
- Option filter my posts also hides your own posts from the timeline in case they match the searching criteria.
- Option filter replies to me also hides matching posts from other users directed to you.
- Option highlight replies to me highlights replies from other users directed to you by adding some color to the tweet.
- Option aggressive filter completely hides matching tweets. You can still show them all together activating "invert filter".
Updates
Version 0.8.3: Fixed Quicklink not responding after slow loads
Version 0.8.2: Added a Quicklink above the timeline to invert the filter (and show only hidden tweets)
Version 0.8.1: Added new Option 'aggressive filter'. Fixed to work together with Tweetpreview.
Version 0.8: Mainly rewrote the whole script, new UI for the filter.
Version 0.7: bugfixes
Version 0.6: Fixed 2 bugs, finished feature "filter replies", which now lets you choose if you want replies to be filtered or not.
Version 0.5: Twitter has changed some of their markup, with v.0.4 of this script the profile pictures in hidden tweets remain visible. This is now fixed. Some code optimizations.
Todo
- *Sometimes* the quicklink to invert the filter on the right above the timeline doesn't respond. I wasn't able to figure out why yet. The alternative way by clicking the option "Invert filter" always works. I'll fix it asap.
