Gamespot screenshot view-as-image

Lets you see Gamespot's screenshots as plain images. v0.2 (2007 April 5)

Note: The script was fixed! Please reinstall it. v0.2 (2007 April 5)

*Notice: This script is meant to replace my older "Gamespot screenshot windows fix". 18.11.06 - small bug fix*

This script allows you to view Gamespot screenshots as plain-vanilla images. i.e. You won't need to use their annoying screenshot viewer anymore. Simply click on the thumbnail, and you'll get a link to *the actual JPEG image*. Thus you can also use tabs.

*Note:* This script is NOT compatible with my other script, Gamespot screenshot windows fix. You have to choose between the two. This one is better in my opinion.

*Changelog:*
* 2007.4.5 (v0.2) Fixed for the new Gamespot code.
* 2006.11.18 (v0.11) Bug fix: script stopped working when viewing more than 100 screenshots.
* 2006.8.1 (v0.1) first version.

אחלה סקריפט,

יש מצב שהוא יעבוד גם עם
IGN.com
או אולי איזה סקריפט דומה לאתר הזה...

תודה מראש.

Well, it's not something your script actually does, it's actually something your script DOESN'T do... Expected behavior would be to make sure that pop-up doesn't pop... If you say it works for me, I'm at a loss...

Daniel, are you sure it's a bug with my script? Try disabling it and see if it occurs. Because I can't think of a reason why this should happen (look at my code).

Great that you've solved it :)
Tiny bug: Left-clicking a Screenshot anywhere outside the Screenshots index (such as the summary/review/news page, etc.) will open Gamespot's Screenshot browser popup window, as well as the Screenshot index in the same tab...

Lior - actually, you CAN go around it, thought it's not a very pretty way :) it's pretty complicated so I won't spam this place with tedious details... contact me -> grease {DOT} daniboy {AT} antichef {DOT} com

Hi Puffito, you're correct, that's how the script works. There's no way around this - it takes a couple of seconds to update the links to work correctly. (The technical reason is that my script actually loads the gs viewer in the background and extracts the true image URLs from it. Again, there is no way around this.) I suggest you middle-click on the links so they open in new tabs, so you don't have to reload the index page each time.

does work but...

when I hit back on the browser an click on onother pic immidiately,it opens the stupid gs viewer.

if I allow the browser to rest for a second or so and the click on the pic,it's OK though...
