Userscripts.org Selection Quoting is a script that lets you easily quote other users in the forums of this site. For even easier quoting the script lets you highlight a portion of a user's post and just quote that part. Rather then just giving you the plain text of the quote, the script is really good at replicating the original formatting as well.How to use
- Optionally open the reply to topic box. If the reply box is already open the quote will be inserted after the cursor, otherwise a new reply will be opened.
- Optionally select text in the post body with mouse, otherwise the whole post will be quoted.
- Click Quote under the gravatar
- You can also open an edit box, and append a quote to it aswell.
Origins
This script is merely a fork of my all-in-one Userscripts.org forum improving script Userscripts Comments Fix, that has a bunch of other features besides selection quoting.
