When first installed, it creates a single Quicklink(tm) in the crumbs navigation, which invites you to right-click it. The context menu allows you to add new quicklinks, and edit or remove existing quicklinks.
Since all operations are driven from the context menu, and a context menu cannot be shown without some context, you cannot remove the last quicklink. If you wish to make them all go away, you should disable the script in Greasemonkey's settings.
To make a game link into a quicklink, right-click on the link, select 'Copy Link Location', then create a new quicklink using the URL from the clipboard. For example, if you click the Diplomatic Advisor, there are 3 quicklinks just waiting to be added: 'Send message to all', a forum link if your alliance has one, and a quicklink to the alliance member list if you visit it as often as I do (the 4th tab in the Diplomatic Advisor).
If you have created quicklinks with a version of Ikariam and they no longer work after a game upgrade, simply locate the link again, copy the URL to clipboard, then edit the link and replace the URL with the new one.
