This is a very simple script which will give you the number of solar systems between your currently selected planet and other players' homeworlds in the statistics screen. It is very useful for relatively new players to find nearby targets to attack based on their scores.

Note, because I wanted to get this together asap mostly for myself, i didn't bother to make it all that clever. It also assumes everyone's in galaxy 1.

Updated to calculate distances (within the galaxy) from your currently selected planet.
