I used to spend way too much time lurking in the Fark.com comment threads. Every time I viewed user comments, I was first frustrated at the closed-minded opinions of the other commenters, then frustrated even further at my own refusal to learn a lesson. After all, I was the idiot who continued to browse the forums, expecting the results to improve. So, my original goal with this script was simply to remove the links so I could not click them.
Once I found out how easy it was to write Greasemonkey script, I added a few more lines of code to hide various parts of the screen that had little use to me (heading banner, right-hand advertisement, page footer, copyright notice, etc)
