When logging into your PayPal account at http://www.paypal.com, log in details are usually unencrypted.

This small script automatically redirects you to a secure PayPal log in page when you visit the PayPal web site, setting up a secure connection between your computer and PayPal so sensitive data is encrypted.

Features:

  • supports international PayPal web sites, including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and United States.
  • automatic redirection to secure login page
  • (optional) prompt before redirecting#
Limitations:
  • script executes after PayPal web site has finished loading
  • non-US users cannot log into their PayPal account on the default welcome page
#Install the script, then select Tools > Manage User Scripts. Select Secure PayPal Login, then Edit, and uncomment line 39 (remove //) and comment line 40 (add //).
