This is a variation of the "Callto: Linkify (for Skype)" script, created by Boris Yim. This variation is specifically designed to work with the Gmail API for Greasemonkey, whereas Boris's script works with regular web pages (and fails to work with recent versions of Gmail).

This script is designed for use on Fluid for Mac OS X. I haven't tested it in Greasemonkey, but if it doesn't work, it should work by modifying references to frames.js.gmonkey to unsafeWindow.gmonkey.
