Script homepage

What? Why?

Annotate active discussion links with a comment counter variable (&nc=#ofcomments).
Why? Previously visited discussions that have been added to after the last visit will appear unvisited.

This idea is based on LiveJournal's NCTalkLinks feature (opt_nctalklinks).

Motivation

I am a fan of the Hacker News OnePage script. One of the features is a style change for visited links to be high-contrast. This is helpful to see which links I have already followed. However, the benefit of Hacker
News is often the active discussions. I would prefer to easily tell if a conversation I have followed has been added to since my last refresh.

Go from here?

This functionality could be integrated into the OnePage. However, there may exist a subset of HN users who would just like this functionality or OnePage users who do not care for it. This was a quick hack to scratch an itch.

Comments are most appropriately added to the Hacker News discussion about this script.
