Script Summary: Clean up Reddit pages to be more like old Reddit: much smaller, with better use of screen real estate
Reddit fixer cleans a lot of the distractions off of Reddit. Hover over the Reddit logo with the mouse to see just how many things it deletes. (It's often well over a hundred space-wasting elements.) Optionally, self posts can be automatically filtered out (this is not done by default).
Version 1.2 update: New feature - added the ability to filter out self-posts if you find them annoying. From a reddit page, open the Greasemonkey menu, open the 'User Script Commands' submenu, and select 'Toggle self post removal'.

Generally, Reddit fixer makes a page of links fit on a full-screen window without scrolling, which I think is very nice. It sort of makes new Reddit more like old Reddit, as preserved by the wayback machine: http://web.archive.org/web/20050809081330/http:.... It's sort of similar, more of the minimalist design it used to have.
Notably, it removes most ways of interacting with reddit, like logging in, voting, and commenting. It makes you think twice before snapping off a comment or downvote, which I think is a nice feature. Also, you cannot see the username responsible for stories or comments (with the exception of comments collapsed due to "comment score below threshold"). I think this is also a feature, because I don't leap to conclusions about the article based on who submitted it. In any case, Greasemonkey is disabled with one click, so you can easily get those elements back momentarily to do your voting and commenting.
Comments links are hidden by default, but can be toggled by a new "comments" link at the bottom, next to the added "/reddits/" link. This is in addition to the "show/hide comments" in the Greasemonkey "user script commands" menu.
By default, self posts are displayed, but can be changed from the monkey menu. This selection is persistent via the about:config preferences.
The number of elements deleted is displayed as the title-text of the Reddit logo in the upper left corner, so you can read it by mousing over if you're curious.
This script works with or without Adblock Plus.
It is believed to work with NoScript, but I don't use it, so it's not tested often.
