Reddit: Ignorance is Bliss
Removes the temptation to care about karma, upvotes/downvotes, submission/comment success, flame wars, groupthink and trolling.
On reddit, over time, I was beginning to notice changes in my behavior. I found myself sometimes trolling to cause controversy and other times defending popular opinions that I did not actually agree with. I was acting contrary to my true nature and opinions just to get a response, good or bad. In the process I said some stupid and often hurtful things that I later regretted. Another bad habit I had picked up was downmodding comments, whether they were pertinent or not, for manipulative purposes which goes against rediquette. Overall, I was beginning to take reddit too seriously and was getting frustrated with the experience.
So I decided to do something about it. I wrote this script.
Further suggestions for improvement are welcome.
