*New (3 Aug 2006):* Unlike before where you had to switch between the drop-down menu and the text-box entry, it is now merged into one. To access the drop-down menu you now must click the down button, and if you click the text you will see that you can now edit it instantly.
As you browse through artists pages at Last.fm, this GreaseMonkey script tracks keeps a record of all the artists' pages you visit to most, and keeps them at easy access from a dropdown menu (which is sorted by most visited artists). If you click the small "switch" link, you'll notice you can also simply type in an artist's name and click "Go" and you'll head straight to the artist's page. Also, now if you go to the Tools menu, and then User Script Commands, you should see "Reset Last.fm Quickfind", which will reset the history of artists you've been to.
As far as I know this script works fine, even with artist names such as _Fantômas_ or _The World/Inferno Friendship Society_.
But if you do have any problems, please leave a comment. Thanks.
