Welcome to eBaySnipeMonkeyR :: v1.0.5

Overview:

Do you use eBay a lot?
Do you use AuctionSniper.com to hedge your bets?
If the answer is yes, then this script is for you.

This script is intended to seamlessly integrate AuctionSniper functionality into the eBay front end you know and love.
It does so in an almost transparent manor offering visual prompts on items you have already sniped³ or are yet to place a bid on.
Auto notification of script updates is also included. So if there is a significant site change, a script error is identified or there are general script updates available you will be notified by an unobtrusive update bar at the top of your eBay pages.

Based on the original idea from eBay Snipe at AuctionSniper.com by Scott Winder

Features:

  • Adds an AuctionSniper.com icon next to all snipeable items. On the item page, on your watch lists¹ and on your search lists².

  • Allows you to add snipes seamlessly without popup windows. Using iframes, the AuctionSniper "snipe it now" page opens over your current eBay page and disappears again at the click of a close button.

  • Allows you to add AuctionSniper watches. Simply hold down the shift key when clicking on a snipe link to add an AuctionSniper watch instead. Or click the extra link added in the "Snipe It Now" window.



  • Works on both the current watch lists¹ and on the new beta watch lists¹. For easy sniping where ever you are in eBay.

  • Works on search lists². For easy sniping where ever you are in eBay.

  • Shows the current status of your active and past snipes³. Using AJAX type background queries each items AuctionSniper status is revealed in the color of the AuctionSniper icon and tool tip. (It shows you the state of any past items in your watch lists up to 30 days ago)



  • Self updating when a new version of the script is available. Using the same technology seen in my other scripts you'll always be notified of updates. This feature checks userscripts.org every 24hours for later versions of the script.

Notes:

  • ¹ To see the auction sniper link on watch lists you need to customise the columns shown and add the "Item ID".
     If you are using the original watch lists you need to click on the "Customise Display" link in the top right corner of the watch list and put "Item ID" in the columns to display.
    If you are using the beta version of My eBay then you need to click on the "Edit" link in the top right corner of the watch list and select "Customise..." then check "Item ID" and press apply.

  • ² To see the auction sniper link on search lists you need to customise the columns shown and add the "Item Number".
     At the top of the search lists you will see a link labeled "Customise view" click it and select "Item Information" on the left of the window. Check "Item Number" (and why not "Watch This Item Link" while you're there!) and click apply changes.

  • ³ To see the current status of your AuctionSniper links within eBay you need to logged into your AuctionSniper account.

  • This script does not explicitly ask you for eBay/AuctionSniper password! This is done though eBay’s and AuctionSniper’s normal interfaces.

  • This script does not read, transmit or (in any other way) do anything with your eBay/AuctionSniper password! You log into these sites via their normal interfaces.
