Script Summary: This is similar to the "Search Site" userscript by "Ones Self" with the difference that the results will be displayed floating on the page you are currently viewing. The searchbox can be moved by clicking the icon (dont drag the mouse, just click to go into drag mode). To stop moving, simply click again. Also provided are the familiar minimize, maximize and close buttons.

This is similar to the Search Site userscript by Ones Self with the difference that the results will be displayed floating on the page you are currently viewing.
Usage:
  1. Moving mouse to top left of the screen displays the icon, search input field and minimize, maximize and close buttons
  2. To search the site, enter your term and hit the return/enter key
  3. results will appear in a box below
  4. To move the search box to another location on the screen, click the icon once. This will put the searchbox into drag mode. Move to your desired location. Click mouse again to come out of drag mode.
  5. Minimize will reduce the searchbox to a single bar
  6. Maximize shows the results pane (empty if no results)
  7. Close will make the search box disappear. Follow step 1 to make it appear again.

Troubleshooting
  • On some webpages, there is an error loading the results in the iframe. In this case you will see an empty grey box instead of the results page. In such cases, check the "full window" checkbox. This will take you to the google search results page
