Basic Description

This script automatically loads the HQ / HD version of the video on the page without refreshing the whole page, with lots of other little "goodies" for YouTube. Is the script broken? Complain here, email me (aavindraa@gmail.com), or wait for an update (as you may have noticed, I updated this script many, many times). Read on for the various other features.

Why this script and not the others?

Because this script incorporates many features often wanted on YouTube, but doesn't overkill on functionality. In general, it is simple and FREQUENTLY UPDATED. Some of the newer features were thanks to requests in the discussions. So if you don't like it, feel free to yell at me!

Some of the problems I have with other YouTube scripts: They're copies, they're broken, they use full JavaScript libraries such as jQuery, they are slow, they overkill on layout, they're slowly updated or never at all and end up murdering usability.

Also, a ton of the scripts on here are now COPIES of mine. Beware of them! Rate them down, report them and get them off the site.

This script has many options that aren't hard to configure. Look in the upper-right hand corner of a video page to find the link to the configuration.

This is the best and ORIGINAL YouTube 720p true HD script. The original is the best, hands down.
You can auto-loop the videos.
If a video is high definition, but you want the fmt=18 version since your computer can't support HD, you can get it by turning off useHD. wiki
You can download videos in all the possible formats (including HD if available).
Has the best viewing mode, period (fitToWindow). It blows up the video for optimal viewing on your computer's resolution.
You can hide those annoying annotations.
You can have no autoplay, but the video still downloads, which I've coined as autobuffer. wiki

You can change the two primary colors of the video player. wiki
You can darken the video page.
Has various keyboard shortcuts for pausing, playing, rewinding, stopping and volume. wiki.
Has a mini-player mode which only shows the player controls. Perfect for those who use YouTube for music and don't want to see a crappy slideshow or AMV.
You can get a link to share with your friends who may not have the script, but will link to the HQ / HD version so they may see it too. Also, if you choose, the link will include the exact time you are into the video.

Compatibility

Tested to work perfectly in Firefox 3.5.3. Update. Come on, seriously, it's 2009.

This script is known to have issues with Safari, Google Chrome and most likely Internet Explorer. I heard Opera works good with it too, but I cannot confirm myself. EDIT: I also heard newer versions of my script don't work with Opera. Too bad.
