This visual mod for Ikariam looks totally different from any other graphic pack out there. As the name of the script implies, my intent is to give the game a matte metallic feel with a minimal color palette. The style will remain relatively simplistic and I have made multiple versions of the mod with different color schemes. So far Cobalt, Carmine, Canary and Cadmium Editions are available.

I am aware that several formatting/graphical errors remain. Expect to see those fixed in the coming weeks. I will also be replacing all of the images shown in the World, Island, and Town view screens eventually, so this script will not be compatible with other graphic packs like Animated Ikariam in the future. So far a rough version of the World view is in place, but the islands will be updated so show more variety. I welcome any and all criticism and am very interested in your feedback. Let me know what you think or what you'd like to see! If you find any bugs in the script, please let me know so I can fix them promptly. Even if it's a little thing that I might already be aware of, tell me anyway.

Updates:

October 15th 2008:
  • Added Edition-specific designs to the top-left corner of the interface.
  • Cleaned up several images throughout the script.
  • Replaced several Premium images.
  • October 4th to 8th 2008:
  • Fixed the Notebar/Quickbar scripts' positioning (they didn't stay in place when the window was resized; it's now docked on the left side of the screen like the original script).
  • Fixed the footer image overlapping the island action box.
  • Added the Ikariam Notebar and Quickbar scripts and edited the code so they appear more integrated.
  • Replaced the yes/no images for building demolition confirmation.
  • Changed the color of the buttons in Canary Edition from yellow to grey so they are legible.
  • Replaced the premium advisors with the Gunmetal advisors (untested).
  • Added code to notify users when there's a new version of the script.
  • Changed the footer image so that the grey background color can be modified by the user seamlessly (if they manually edit the script).
  • September 30th 2008:
  • The advisor colors were changed so they are no longer sharing the Cobalt Edition color scheme (they're universal now).
  • Added code to remove the useless horizontal scrollbar at the bottom of the page.
  • Changed the code for the grey background color so it's no longer an image file, now it's just a hex color.
  • Fixed errors caused by version 0.2.8 of Ikariam and added images/formatting for the new features.
