This script now uses Google Code

Userscripts.org has its limitations so now Google code is being used to keep the script upto date. Please use the links below.

Description:

  • Night effect on cities, islands and world.
  • Sunrise and nightfall effects on cities.
  • Weather (only rain & fog so far) in cities
  • Uses local time.
  • Images load fast
  • Under user script commands you can see a weather forecast for the day

The amazing response from the Ikariam community has made breaking the hosting terms.
Along this week Ikariam Solarium will work again properly.

Check the original script at http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/25984

Update 1.8 (by kieran776):

  • Input validation on the effect overide setting
  • Input validation on the image host setting
  • Fix for CSS not always displaying correct effect (sunset when it should have been sunrise and vise versa)
  • Fix for special weather (rain, snow, fog) hardly ever showing up
  • Debug output for devs (to make sure the script runs under 10 milliseconds)
  • Ability to set not only hours but also minutes of when the effects should change (right click the GM options and go to 'User Script Commands' and choose 'Ikariam Solarium: Set Light Settings'
  • Edited pages the script is included, so its only run on the city, island, or world map pages

Yes man, i know is a quite hard the things i say but i just give you some ideas off course, your script is great.

Snow: i thing it will be fun that works like the rain, but of course we see little white's spots touching our ground. (I don't know if is possivel, when the snow is active, the buildings have some white snow on their roof, and the floor.

Storms: some lightning's but not much.

Just ideas man... Good job

I was referring to this page (http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/28000), which, except my comment, has no trace of it.

Nice! I would also want that there will be sand storms... and maybe more trees where there is grass! Like doing the 4 seasons!

No reason why I can't add light. Very good idea I will implement the light soon.

Re Weather Suggestions:
Rain - Already Have
Snow - Not sure How it would work?
Storms - How do you differenciate between storms and rain?
Big Waves - Sounds ok, might be quite hard to implement due to CSS limitations.

Any other ideas appreciated!

Nice script, very good.... so you can add Snow, Rain, Storms, Big waves at the beach.

I would like if you add more light at night on the buildings, in this script we have the Shypiard a light very cool 5* and the Primary building, i think it will be cool to add some little light in the building just an idea...

This script is great

It has credit, check the script. Near the top under author.

It is in good style to properly credit the original author when you upload a forked version of a script, giving credit where credit is due. Might want to add it prominently somewhere in the blurb above. (The site had the reference somewhere, I think; you just missed it here.)

Update: Weather now occurs randomly per day, you can view the forecast under user script commands Ikariam Solarium Weather Forecast. Still need ideas for other types of weather.
