This script will shows a little icon next to a links.

Code is partly rewritten to support my new script US_options.

Due to a weird bug in Firefox 3, I had to disable editing/changing the conditions. A new version will be out as soon as I find a solution for the eval() problem.

Check this page for a Link Alert test.

NOTE:This script is still a Beta release, so I'm not sure if all works for everybody. Please leave a message if you get any errors or bugs!

This script does NOT work without US Framework[Install][Homepage]. Please install that script first and read the instructions!

$5 Options:

Go to "Extra" > "Greasemonkey" > "User Script Settings" and click on "LinkAlert Settings".

A frame will pop-up where you can make settings on different tabs.

For all tab count: don't forget to save your setting by pressing the "OK" or "Apply" button!

Want to restore all settings on all tabs to the default ones: click on the "Reset" button.

There're still some settings that require you to edit the scripts source. The following options will override all settings made by other methods:

  • showInlineImgOverRide
  • showMouseImgOverRide
  • mouseOffsetOverRide
  • showTextOnlyOverRide
  • showOnHoverOverRide
  • numberImgOverRide
  • notWithoutTextOverRide
  • notIfExistingImgOverRide

These options need to be added just before the default setting part, marked //*** DEFAULT SETTINGS ***//.

I made this userscript in Dreamweaver 8.
It's tested in Firefox 2 (partly) and Firefox 3.0.5 (continuous) with GreaseMonkey 0.8.
