This script replaces http:// with https:// in the address bar, to make sure you’re using the SSL-encrypted version of a page. It should only be enabled for sites you know are SSL enabled.

Also note that this is not an optimal solution to a problem. It doesn’t alter in-page links (e.g., to images or scripts on enabled domains) and it only kicks in after the page has been loaded. For a proper solution, you should use HTTPS Everywhere or NoScript’s HTTPS redirection. These both work at a deeper level than anything a userscript could ever achieve, but they’re also limited by browser platform – so this script might still be good if your browser does not support either of those two extensions.
