YouTube - Add Link to HD Video
Simply adds a link to the fmt=18 version of a video. (Screenshot included)
YouTube doesn't allow every video to be watched in higher quality than the standard one, even if many videos are available in a better format. This script allows you to get to it. Here's how it looks:

It's veeeeery simple. More updates to come, hopefully.
Changelog
0.3 (04/26/08) - Fixed some margin bugs after YT's reorganization of the description box; HDTV image is now generated from a base64 source in the script, since it's no longer available on YT
0.2 (04/16/08) - Script adapted to the latest YT layout: added h2 tag, removed class="statLabel"

Besides, the MP4 version has stereo sounds unlike the HQ FLV. (not to mention the MP4 version has a smaller file size, which is great for those of us with non-uber connection speeds) |

> They already have a link for HQ Sometimes it happens that a video is available in HQ-format, but there's no link to it. This script can resolve this kind of situation. |

Do you think you could make the video automatically pause when you click the "watch this video in HD" button? On slower PCs, loading another page while the video is still playing takes a while (the CPU is being taken up by the video leaving barely any for page loading). Yes you could just hit the pause button, but my not-as-tech-savvy dad won't know that (whom which I hooked up this script with). |
