Script Summary: Just press Ctrl+Alt+Y and mark all unread entries upto the current entry as read in Google Reader, Ctrl+Alt+I for all entries below the current entry.
README FIRST/NOTE BEFORE INSTALLING v1.3:
THIS IS IN CAPS BECAUSE PEOPLE HARDLY READ THINGS BEFORE INSTALLING.
I HAVE CHANGED THE MODIFIERS TO CTRL+ALT INSTEAD OF SHIFT. IF YOU ARE STILL LOOKING FOR THE SHIFT MODIFIERS, PLEASE INSTALL THIS VERSION:

Ok, now for the newbies:
This script allows you to mark all unread entries upto the current entry as read in Google Reader.
Many a times, we just skim through the entries and find some entry to be interesting. We read it, but then we have a lot of unread entries above the current entry. How do we mark all of these as read? 'Mark all as read' cannot be used, since there are still a lot of entries to look at below the current one.
This script is the solution.
Press 'Ctrl+Alt+Y' and all unread entries upto the current entry are marked as read.
Press 'Ctrl+Alt+I' and all unread entries below the current entry are marked as read.
It's that simple!
This also works with search results in Google Reader.
v 1.1 - The script now moves back to the current entry after marking all previous ones as read.
v 1.2 - Changed the keyboard shortcut as 'Shift+U' used to clash with the toggle of the side-bar (full-screen mode) - changed to 'Shift+Y'. Also added a feature to mark all entries below the current entry as read. Keyboard shortcut - 'Shift+I'.
v 1.3 - Changes to the Google Reader interface broke the script. Fixing these changes. Also since a lot of users were complaining about the clashes in the keyboard shortcut, I have now changed it to Ctrl+Alt+Y and Ctrl+Alt+I respectively.
