Power Gmail Tweaks

Adds cross-computer persistent seaches (stored in a contact) and a fixed font size button.

This script builds on the one created by Mihai Parparita. It stores the saved searches in a Gmail contact, instead of on the local computer. This way you will see your saved searches on any computer you have this script installed on.

Quite a powerful tweak but more than double the loading time of each conversation.

Got this working in my Gmail account, but I use Gmail hosted as well and it’s not working in there.

I don’t know the first thing about greasemonkey scripts, but I figured pulling out all instances of “/mail” (left the trailing slash), resaving as ssearch.user.js and installing it would do the trick.

No dice.

No box, no nada. Any ideas on how to get it working for hosted?

edit line 390 from "getNode("nav").insertBefore(searchesBlock, labelsBlock.nextSibling);" to "getNode("nav").insertBefore(searchesBlock, labelsBlock);" and it will end up before the labels. Just remove ".nextSibling" from line 390.

I'd have to agree with "rm" on this one, would be nice to have this above the labels, and the ability to order them as you wished. You might also think about putting a date or version number in the script itself so we know what version we are running and if you updated anything.

i'm not 100% sure how this supposed to work, but did you mean to do something like
www.google.com/searchhistory ?

Great script!!!

I would like to request two additional features:

1. I'd like to put it above the Labels.
2. I'd like to be able to either manually control the order of the search entries or have them automatically sort alphabetically so I can control the order using their names.

Very nice script. If only it would click the "Search Mail" button for you, it would be perfect. Also wondering is there a limit to the number of searches stored in contacts?

"Script was last updatedt on today" seems to be a function that evaluate today's date an display it on the website. Everyday I update my script but nothing happens. Why userscript.org uses a function to insert last update tag instead of using the real lastupdate date???

I use this a lot. Glad to see someone was able to update it to work with Ffx1.5. Storing the data in a contact record is a slick idea.

And Mutant, the use of "tweaks" is correct. In addition to the search, this script also adds the fixed-font toggle, just like the original script.

The title is a little misleading.. "Tweaks"? Its a single search tweak.

Beyond the title, I love it. Great job!
