Google Reader + del.icio.us

Adds reader posts to del.icio.us tagget with custom possibilities of tags

You can define a single tag, a group of tags or many group of tags to fast add a news in google reader.
From "Tools -> Greasemonkey -> User Script Commands -> Define Tags" you can insert a single tag (so you have a single star link), a group of links separated by "," (you still have a single link) or many groups of links separated by "|" (you have a star link for every group).

Please note if you already have that url in del.icio.us every tag will be replaced by the last star link you select.

I am using Firefox 3.5b. The script does not prompt me for my username and password for Del.icio.us when I start up Google Reader. So of course the script does not work for me as is, but I have a work around. I open up another tab and go to https://api.del.icio.us/v1/posts/add? . What that does, it forces me to login to call that web service. Now for the rest of my session, I can use this script to post to Del.icio.us from Google Reader.

Is there a fix for this?

Google Reader has changed to add more functionalities but this break my script, I'm working to solve this problem.

Hi... like the script and I agree with Levi about adding some buttons. I'd also like to see a keyboard shortcut. If I'm flagging an article for reading later, I don't want to have to scroll to the bottom to click the delicious star.

Thanks for the script. What I would love to see is the ability to post to a few different tags in delicious. Ultimately it would be great to configure these, but at least provide some default ones in addition to toRead. So for example, how about a version with two buttons and another with threee? The buttons could post to delicious with "toRead," "toBlog," and "toShare" or something similar? I just find it useful to have a way to tag things and unfortunately Google Reader only lets me EASILY tag things in one dimension - with the star. If I want to tag via other dimensions (the tags, I have to click on the tag button and start writing out each tag, which slows things down enormously when trying to sort through dozens of entries!
