gmail-wavplay

Adds an embedded player within Gmail messsages containing audio files in the WAV format (e.g. Vonage voicemails).

I noticed that the virus scanning that gmail does occasionally causes the search for wav attachments to come back empty. I'll look into posting a fix soon.

First script I've installed. Very nice!

I had to install an Apple QT clone for it to work but that's ok.

Now I just need to create a script to change the useless Vonage subject line

'You have received a new voicemail message'

to something useful like

'vm [phonenumber]'.

- Or better yet

'vm - [name] - [phonenumber]'

where I use the phone number to look up the name from the google address book.

Great idea -- I was looking for this for a long time. Will this work with Google Apps i.e. Gmail for my domain?

If the message has already been scanned by Gmail's virus scanner then the extention works correctly.

The page might be different when it loads before the file is scanned for a virus. Or maybe changes as it's loaded undoing the Greasemonkey script.

Great job on the plugin though, it's gonna be used daily now :)

(mind you I dont' understand why google doesn't do this themselves with flash or something, and why vonage doesn't send MP3's!!)

You could comment on this script if you were logged in.
