I redid this script.

This is what it does: it removes the ever present reference numbers links [1], [2], [3] and it also removes links that may appear [citation needed], etc. Until css solutions (aka Stylish) what's removed doesn't appear on the page and it can't be copied (since it doesn't exist). If you want to see the reference numbers etc- just disable the script.

The examples are copy and pasted text.

Barack Obama: Early life and career

example without script
Barack Obama was born at the Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children in Honolulu, Hawaii, United States,[6] to Stanley Ann Dunham,[7] an American of mainly English descent from Wichita, Kansas,[8][9][10]

example with script enabled
Barack Obama was born at the Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children in Honolulu, Hawaii, United States, to Stanley Ann Dunham, an American of mainly English descent from Wichita, Kansas,

Future plans: I have a Wikipedia Style that works with my script. The Style hides stuff (as opposed to removing stuff) I don't want to see - but the Style has endless bugs. If/When I get it working (more or less) smoothly - I'll post a link to it in here.

Notes
Version 1.01 - Ooops. Fixed a smaller error.
Version 1.00 - It's far simpler - just a few lines. All it does is remove SUP tags.
Version 0.02 - Removed [specify], etc from the body text.
Version 0.01 - It's my very first greasemonkey script. - ekbworldwide
