Script Summary: Allows in situ settings of permissions and licensing on the flickr photo stream page without needing to jump to a new page.
This script allows the "in situ" setting of permissions and licensing of flickr photos from the photo stream page, without the need to jump to a new page.
(Normally on flickr, if you want to change the permissions or licensing type of a photo, you are brought to a new page. In the case of the licensing type, you are returned not to the photo stream but to the individual photo's page.)
This script also adds the copyright symbol for those images that do not have a Creative Commons license, making it easy to add one.
Other than the addition of the copyright symbol, this script has no other visual impact on the page--it changes what happens when the permissions or copyright/license icon is clicked.
Note that this does not use the API, which limits some of the functionality it could have, but this "quick and dirty" version works for me.
Version History:
- 0.13 (November 8, 2005); now set comments/meta permissions to recommended levels instead of "only you"
- 0.12 (October 31, 2005); fixed typo that kept permissions change from working
- 0.11 (October 29, 2005): fixed post URL so that it will work with www.flickr.com as well as flickr.com, reset boxes after selection
- 0.10 (October 29, 2005): Original
